You’ve got a working manual typewriter made after 1945, but it’s kind of a mess. How do you clean it? How do you change the ribbon..and does your new ribbon even fit? 

    Tom Yates, local retired teacher and self-labeled typewriter “obsessive”, will walk you through a hands-on cleaning of your machine. There will also be a presentation on the parts of a typewriter, how to assess areas of real trouble, and a discussion of resources.

    This workshop is limited to 15 machines; two people may come with one machine to work on together, if desired, but space will be limited.
