at the IC Press Co-op (225 N. Gilbert)
pay-what-you-can: $30-$140

Learn two kinds of monotype techniques with watercolors to create painterly prints:

Using screenprinting we will create compositions with watercolor on paper and print them using transparent base. Participants will learn how to print layers using this technique and how a series of works can be made using this technique.

Using buffed acrylic sheets, we will create images with watercolors, and print them on an etching press. Variations include ghost images and stencils.

Participants will go home with 4-8 prints.

Open to ages 18+

Registration deadline: Sept. 3

*PS1 workshops are pay-what-you-can thanks to support from Hills Bank and individual donors. $115 is the true cost of the workshop, and we encourage participants to select the cost that they can afford, or pay a little extra to support future sliding-scale fees.
