Shane O’Shaughnessy used this residency to explore further into the collage-worlds of ‘maBnat’ and ‘Tireback’. ‘maBnat’ takes the form of strange issues from a forgotten longbox of comics that have phased through a dimension of pop-art anagrams and superheroic cut-ups. ‘Tireback’ tells and retells the story of our titular titillating titan, his quest to continuously bring us the greatest parties, and the Pipe Bastards who agree with it all. Digging up and repurposing the flotsam and jetsam of pre-digital age digests, Shane invites you, as always, into the wild, the weird, and the wonderful.
