Join or grow your monthly donation to help us reach our goal: 30 new members + 30 growing

Why join?

While you don’t have to be a PS1 member to participate in our programs or attend events, members make what we do possible! Whether you want to support from afar, get more involved, or take advantage of our community resources, we hope you’ll join us!

Donate between $5 and $50 per month and join our creative community in sustaining inclusive, experimental, and non-commercial arts programs, spaces, and resources — for any and everyone (that’s YOU!). Members also get access to special perks, like access to early workshop sign-ups, artist opportunities, shared studio spaces, PS1 swag, and more. Why grow?

PS1 membership has always been about community support and reciprocity. If you’re one of our long-time sustaining members who started at $3 per month, we’re so grateful for the support — we couldn’t have gotten to this point without you!

As PS1 grows, we’re trying to get better at being transparent about our financial needs. Since PS1’s membership program started, expenses have gone up: we have more staff than ever, three mortgages, plus utility bills and supplies costs on the rise. That’s why we’re asking new members to join at $5/month or more, and for existing members to consider growing your support if you can!

We say it a lot, because it’s true: members make what we do at PS1 possible. Thank you for helping us to keep PS1 running strong for a long time to come.

Did you know?

We pay the least in processing fees for direct ACH (Bank) Transfers, and more for PayPal and card payments. Consider giving a little extra to cover fees (or changing your payment method so more of your donation goes directly to PS1!).

 
 

  • Each year, you can opt in to receive an artist-designed gift repping PS1! If you’re a new or existing member, check your email for updates about this year’s gift — made by members for members!

  • Members can borrow items, from cameras to sewing machines, free of charge! Check out the inventory here.

  • A digital space for sharing projects, opportunities, and camaraderie!

  • Members can borrow publications from the CAS’ community collection during open hours.

  • Members get early access to register for each season of workshops.

  • A regular series of skill-building workshops around art tools, techniques, and professional practices. Check out upcoming workshops here.

  • Discounts on select ticketed performances!

  • Opt in and we'll add you to an email list that will keep you informed about opportunities like paid commissions, artist meetups and meals, skillshares, collaborative projects, workshop teaching, and more.

  • ICPC members collectively manage our community print and book arts studio and work together on projects, skillshares, outreach, and whatever they dream up!


    24/7 ICPC studio access is available for
    • $25/month + monthly volunteer hours
    • $50/month (no volunteering required)
    • need-based discounts are available (contact us!)

  • CAS members are invited to virtual and in-person gatherings with visiting artists and kept in the loop about other program opportunities through the CAS.

  • Join the MAC to be part of using and developing our media arts community studio and tune into audio, video, and new media resources and collaborations.

  • After a short orientation, members can reserve private studio time for creative work in the converted garage area of the PS1 Cloud House. Find out more here.
