TEACHING ARTISTS

Mackie Garrett is a poet, artist, caregiver, and English as a Second Language teacher. He designs and letterpress prints zines, chapbooks, greeting cards, and posters as 508 Press. He sometimes organizes poetry readings in the art gardens and loves teaching workshops at ICPC.

Kalmia Strong is an artist, curator, designer, and Program Director at PS1. She earned an MFA from the University of Iowa Center for the Book and has been teaching book arts and print workshops since 2013. Kalmia loves talking about zines with anyone who’ll humor her.
