Learn about foraging plants for natural dye, different processes of making dye baths with foraged plant matter, the process of preparing fabric for natural dyeing and immersion dyeing fabric.

TEACHING ARTISTS
Lilah Ward Shepherd is a multidisciplinary artist working with textiles, natural dyeing, printmaking, clay, painting and drawing. Her work has been exhibited across the United States and Canada. Her work explores color relationships, geometric shapes and patterning, relationships between forms and space while investigating human relationships, identity, ancestry, peace, comfort, and play.
