On the longest day of darkness
We are summoned by joy and light.
Our glowing reflections meander through ripples
As we dance our chills away.
Join us for JOY MARCH GOES DARK!
This Wednesday, Dec 21, 7pm.
The winter is severe but the JOY MUST GO ON!
We will be starting our route at the Lot 3 Parking Booths in between the UI Library on Madison Ave and the Iowa River (See map on 2nd image. NOTE: Parking is free after 4:30pm for public so you can park there!) and will be marching across the river on Iowa Avenue! (Because glowing lights reflections across river will be magical!) We will have a Dance Party on the raised pedestrian bridge before we head back onto the bridge.
🥶IT’S GOING TO BE FRIGID! 🧤PLEASE WEAR YOUR WINTER GEAR! HATS, GLOVES, LAYERS LAYERS LAYERS! 🧥
For those who had not had the chance to make lanterns - we have some for you to hold and help us spread the glow of joy!!
SEE YOU THERE! 7PM!
AT THE LOT 3 PARKING LOT!
BRING YOUR WARMEST GEAR!
