Join us for a public talk by artist-in-residence Maxim Poleacov along with a community meal. Maxim will share his experiences as an organizer in independent art spaces and collectives in Moldova.
Maxim is a cultural worker from Tiraspol and Chisinau, Moldova whose research focuses on methodologies for ‘samizdat’ (self–publishing), considering this practice primarily not in terms of object production, but as a platform to build and develop conversations, social situations, and communication spaces.
Free and open to all!
Please RSVP before noon Sunday so we know how much food to make!
Maxim’s residency at PS1 is supported by CEC ArtsLink. CEC ArtsLink supports transnational cultural mobility and collaboration, empowering artists and arts leaders to engage communities in dialogue and creative projects for a more equitable, compassionate and sustainable world.
