Teaching Artist
LOUISE FISHER is an artist and educator based in Iowa City. Louise received her BFA degree from the University of Northern Iowa and an MFA in printmaking from Arizona State University. She has shown her work nationally and internationally, and is included in both private and public collections. In her work, Louise explores ideas of ephemerality, energetic transformation and life cycles through time-based media as well as the layering and repetitive action of printmaking. Her prints are characterized by an intense experience of color, and a post-digital hybridization of photographic and hand-drawn imagery. Louise has been happily teaching art workshops and courses since 2014.
