This class is designed for beginners looking to explore the creative possibilities of Procreate, a powerful digital illustration app. Participants will learn how to transform their traditional sketches into polished digital artwork through hands-on guidance and step-by-step techniques. We’ll begin by importing sketches into Procreate, tracing over them to refine shapes and lines, using the reference layer to create clean outlines and add color. This course will also introduce participants to the basics of working with layers, an essential skill for organizing and enhancing digital art projects. Whether you’re an aspiring illustrator or just curious about digital drawing, this class offers a supportive environment to build foundational skills. By the end of the session, participants will have completed a finished piece, starting from a hand-drawn sketch to a vibrant digital illustration. Participants will need to bring an iPad or tablet of similar capabilities with Procreate installed. We can install Procreate at the beginning of class if necessary.
Registration deadline: June 12
