Iluminando las Aguas (1987)
Employing the Afro Caribbean spiritual myth of the Orisha Yemaya Olokun, an intersexed deity, and the deep rhythms of ocean undercurrents, this experimental narrative renders the memory of two lovers who have been separated by exile.

Ebbo for Elegua (1992)
An experimental narrative tracing the life of a Cuban exile sent alone to the United States when he was seven years old. The video intercut interviews, graphics, and a body painting performance to present issues of the family, memory, migration, desire, and ethnicity within the Cuban exile experience.

Nubes Soleadas at the Crossroads (1996)
Experimental fictional documentary that recollects fragmented memories from childhood to the present. Historical and fictional events are intercut with to reconstruct the exile self of a Cuban Mariel immigrant. After years in the exile Ernesto wants to understand how his emotional instability is linked to the historical moment he is living. Colliding juxtaposing, spinning from, and jumping into different levels of narrative, the video creates a layering of images, which recreates the accumulation of experience and the multiplicity of the self that is created by the experience of exile.

Soldados de la Memoria / Memory’s Soldiers (2010)
From a public conversation between Nac and Aaron in the present, a parallel story takes places at the Yucatec Mayan ancestral memory territory. The couple meets in the present and, at the same time, maintains a love relationship that is placed during the Classic Maya period. Xochiquétzal / Xochipill, a transsexual deity, navigates between the ancestral world in which s/he performs a shaman-healer and the present time, performing Salma Salome, a transwoman, breaks with patriarchal traditions.
