Never touched a camera before? Experienced with photography but interested in video? This workshop will teach the ins and outs of using digital cameras to capture moving images. Participants will learn the basics of prepping camera-settings, how aperture, ISO, focus, and white-balance affect a moving image, tips on framing and setting-up shots, a plethora of filmmaking lingo, and finally how to deposit your video files onto a computer. The course will focus on consumer-grade DSLRs, but will also touch on other options available from the MAC equipment lending library.

Open to ages 18+. This workshop is limited to 6 participants, sharing PS1/MAC cameras in pairs. Since a limited number of DSLRs are available to borrow, if you have one of your own that is video-capable feel free to bring it!

RSVP to reserve your spot! Registration deadline: April 5th, 2025
