Meet the members of the PS1 Media Arts Co-op! Currently we are a working group that meets regularly to collectively develop the new programs and structures of the MAC. Future membership will include access to shared facilities and equipment, teaching and professional development opportunities, and collaborative projects.
Donna Bummer is a graduate from U of I with emphasis in film and art. Back in the day, she was a producer at the original Heritage Cablevision housed in the IC Library, and was also one of the first Student Video Producers. She has worked on various productions in NYC and LA. She won a Sony "Visions" award from the American Film Institute for direction of a music video.
Sayuri Sasaki Hemann is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Iowa City, IA. She works seamlessly between many mediums using materials familiar and unfamiliar. Sayuri’s works often explore the themes of one’s relationship to the surrounding environment, and finding self in relation to place, space and time.
Dan Brawner has been a writer and humor columnist for many years and is now turning his attention to video.
Jonny Stax works as a multi-disciplinary artist, creative coach, and social equity strategist. He has produced one feature length and four short films, co-directing one of the short films. As he builds his potion show, he is thrilled to join MAC to increase his filmmaking acumen to share the experience and results virtually.

Zen Cohen uses video, sound, digital photography, installation and performance. She received her MFA in Art Studio at the University of California at Davis and her BFA in Media Art from the California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA.

Jason Smith is a self-taught videographer and photographer who is from Iowa City, IA. Smith is the videographer for Little Village Magazine and enjoys using his skills behind the camera to create digital content for the community.
