Grace Scott
Grace is an Iowa-City-based poet and artist with a love for experimental fashion and art. Her poetry is heavily influenced by music and often has a nostalgic quality, distilling the humor, desire, and insecurities of her experience in the Midwest. She hopes to use her time at PS1 each day writing a poem that corresponds with a scrap of fabric taken from altering her own clothing over the last 2-3 years. To explore the asynchronous function of the closet as an overlooked intimate space and a point of reference to the queer self. Ultimately crafting a mixed media “walk-in” closet of sorts using found object sculpture, textiles, poetry, and print!
