Please note: While this course description has referred to “walking” as a self-evident and consequently ableist concept, persons of all abilities are strongly encouraged to participate. De-centering any particular mode among the variety of ways in which we understand and navigate space is one of the underlying interests and goals being pursued and the wider variety of experiences we have informing that, the better.

Teaching Artist:
Riley Hanick is the author of Three Kinds of Motion (Sarabande Books, 2016) and the co-author of Mapping the Imaginary (ALA Editions, 2019). He is a doctoral candidate in English at the University of Iowa.
