TEACHING ARTIST
Emily Jalinsky is a printmaking and mixed media artist, educator, and arts organizer living in Iowa City, IA. She is a process-based artist who primarily makes one-of-a-kind works on paper, assemblages, and installations. Her work invokes mindfulness and resiliency while centering around mental health and changing states within the body with semi-abstract, organic imagery. She is also passionate about accessible art, community spaces, and education. Emily’s teaching style is informative, while allowing time for experimentation and variation. She loves teaching and creates a fun, warm environment for folks to learn and make art together!
