ZOOM AGAINST THE MACHINE
This month's Media Arts Co-op prompt is to make a video short incorporating, referencing, or in spite of our new, video-call-saturated social reality, whatever your imagination conjures up. We are looking for stories (experiments! art!) about time, love, life from our pixelated boxes!
Finished videos should be delivered via this submission form which requires an on-line screening release, and a link to your video (on Google Drive, Dropbox, Vimeo, etc.) by the deadline of midnight on June 21.
On June 28, all accepted entries will be live screened together in a virtual program, and prizes will be awarded by our adjudication team! We can't wait to see what you come up with!
QUESTIONS?
Can I submit more than 1 video?
Please submit one work, per person. If you are part of a collaborative team, each person may submit one video.
Is there a limit to the length of videos?
Works of 10 min or less, please.
Will all submitted videos will be screened?
We will do our best to screen most entries. Priority will be given to work from/about the local community that creatively engage with the theme. We reserve the right to make final decisions on what is included in the presentation. Offensive or derogatory content will not be tolerated.
Do I have to use Zoom to make this video?
No! You are welcome to use any video-conferencing platform (Zoom, Jitsi, FaceTime, Skype, Google Hangouts, etc), but that must be incorporated into the video in some way.
Do you have some examples to inspire me?
yep!
