at the IC Press Co-op (225 N. Gilbert)
pay-what-you-can: $30-120
Monoprint, often called the painterly print, is a print made by applying ink and stencils to a plexiglass plate and then transferring the image to a piece of paper. Alongside the basic intro techniques of additive and subtractive processes, where ink is added onto the matrix through painting or rolling, demonstrations using hand cut stencils, textured materials and strategic wiping away or painting in, will be shown. This workshop is open to the beginner and the advanced level printmaker.
Open to ages 18+.
Registration deadline: Feb. 28
*PS1 workshops are pay-what-you-can thanks to support from Hills Bank and individual donors. $105 is the true cost of the workshop, and we encourage participants to select the cost that they can afford, or pay a little extra to support future sliding-scale fees.
